Welcome to the Global Game Jam!
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest game jam event (game creation) taking place around the world at physical locations. Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development.
The GGJ stimulates collaboration and is not a competition.
Event Location & Venue:
We will be based in the Llandinam Building throughout the weekend. We have the following labs available:
- C57a
- C56 – Delphinium. Linux and Windows dual boot PCs. Also some plugs for laptops
- B59 – 4 dual boot Windows and Linux PCs
- B57 – Orchard – 40 Dual boot Linux and Mac PCs.
The formal opening speeches and mystery theme reveal will take place in B59 at 17:00 but for the remainder of the weekend you are free to work in any of the spaces listed above.
In addition, please remember that the building will be open to students who may need to use the space for their studies.

Food and Drink
We don’t have catering during the event and many of vending machines are not in open access areas. You should bring your own food and drink to the event.
You can’t eat at the computers, but you can eat in C57a and B59, away from the PCs. All drinks should be in bottles with caps or in covered cups. We don’t want spills anywhere, if possible.
TaMed Da is open for part of Sunday. There is a SPAR at the top of the hill.
We don’t cleaners over the weekend, so you need cleanup after yourselves.
